CIPS Saskatchewan is a Provincial Society that licenses IT professionals in Saskatchewan and is a member of the National IT Association CIPS (Canadian Information Processing Society). Since 1958 CIPS has helped strengthen the Canadian IT industry by establishing standards and sharing best practices for the benefit of individual IT professionals and the sector as a whole.
CIPS offers Networking opportunities, Certification of IT professionals (I.S.P. and ITCP certifications), Accreditation of IT Post-Secondary programs, a niche IT Job Board, a voice to government, and represents Canadian IT professionals in international forums, encouraging and facilitating on-going professional development and safeguarding the public interest.
“CIPS has provided me with some great networking opportunities and allowed me to stay abreast of the IT industry in general. With Saskatchewan being a relatively small IT community, interacting with other IT professionals and students keeps me on top of skills and resources that can benefit my work as well as me personally. Having my I.S.P is important to me personally. Understanding what it took to get an I.S.P made it a goal to achieve, and gives me a better understanding of the value I.S.P’s can bring to individuals and organizations.”
