CIPS Saskatchewan is pleased to present the Mentorship Program. Here’s an opportunity to share the knowledge and wisdom between experienced and aspiring IT professionals.

 A time commitment of 1-2 hours a month is all that’s needed to start.

Mentor’s Benefits

  • Opportunity to advance the IT professionalism to the next generation of IT professionals

 Mentee’s Benefit

  • The mentee has an opportunity to speak with someone who is in their industry speak with and learn from the experiences of someone in their industry
  • Share thoughts and comments about their work/school experience

Qualifications

 Mentor

  • You need to be a CIPS Member
  • Some experience in an area of IT
  • A willingness to share your experiences with someone newer to the industry
  • Willingness to develop a two-way trusted relationship
  • Ability to meet with your mentee a minimum of one hour per month face to face. (During the initial building of the trusted relationship you may be required to meet more frequently)
  • Committed to the success of the CIPS Saskatchewan Mentorship Program

Mentee

  • You need to be a CIPS Member
  • Willingness to develop a two-way trusted relationship
  • Ability to meet with your mentor a minimum of one hour per month face to face. (During the initial building of the trusted relationship you may be required to meet more frequently)
  • An openness to communicate with someone who’s obtained some life skills in the field of IT with career experience they are willing to share
  • Committed to the success of the CIPS Saskatchewan Mentorship Program
